Gutters come in two main types based on construction:

Seamed(Sectional) or Seamless
Additionally, they can be distinguished by their shape and the material they are made from. Common gutter shapes include K-style, half-round, and box gutters, while popular materials are aluminum, vinyl, and copper.
gutter options
1. By Construction:

  • Seamed (Sectional)
These gutters are pre-cut and come in sections that are joined together during installation. They are typically more affordable but may be more prone to leaks at the seams.

  • Seamless
These  gutters are custom-made to fit the specific length and shape of your  home, eliminating seams and reducing the risk of leaks. They are generally more durable and expensive than seamed gutters.
3. By Material:

  • Aluminum
A popular and cost-effective choice, known for its durability, lightweight nature, and resistance to rust and corrosion.

  • Vinyl
An affordable and easy-to-install option, but may be more susceptible to cracking in extreme cold temperatures.

  • Copper
A premium material known for its durability, aesthetic appeal, and ability to develop a beautiful patina over time. Copper gutters are more expensive and require professional installation.

  • Steel
A durable option, but prone to rust if not properly maintained.

  • Zinc
A high-end material that resists corrosion and lasts for decades. It requires professional installation.
2. By Shape:

  • K-Style:
A popular style with a flat bottom and a curved edge, resembling crown molding. They are known for their strength and capacity to handle large volumes of water.

  • Half-Round:
A classic, curved shape that offers a more traditional look. They are generally less expensive than K-style gutters but may not have as much capacity.

  • Fascia:
These gutters are designed to blend seamlessly with the fascia board, creating a clean and modern look. They are often chosen for their minimalist design and ability to hide the gutter from view.

  • Box:
These gutters are built into the structure of the building, offering a hidden and often more durable option. They are commonly used in commercial buildings and for homes with complex rooflines.
